2016 Chevy Malibu Hybrid Technology
The next generation Chevy Malibu hybrid will ride atop an all-new hybrid powertrain which uses a slightly modified drive unit as well as electric motors that are also included in the 2016 Chevy Volt. This system allows the new Malibu Hybrid to achieve a General Motors-estimated 48 city miles per gallon and 45 highway miles per gallon (official EPA estimates have not yet been received).

The new hybrid will include Chevrolet’s MyLink Radio with a 7-inch color touch screen and available compatibility with either Apple or Android smartphone operating systems, keeping drivers connected to the outside world while in the vehicle. A rear-vision camera is also available to assist drivers in reverse. New to the Malibu this year are such features as Lane Keep Assist, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Low Speed Front Automatic Braking to offer a safer and more confident experience behind the wheel.

The 2016 Chevy Malibu Hybrid is expected to hit dealerships in the spring of 2016, which is fast approaching.
